HARD RAIN PROJECT is a new venture springing from Mark Edwards’ Still Pictures photo agency. As a company we are committed to sustainable business operations, from using green electricity to minimizing heat loss and energy usage and recycling waste.

We have offset the residual carbon footprint of this book’s production by purchasing land on behalf of the Gurukula Botanical Sanctuary in Kerala, India, set aside for the planting of trees, the conservation of native flora and fauna, and the restoration of degraded habitats. We’ll post pictures and progress reports here.

He founded Still Pictures, regarded as the leading photo agency specializing in environmental issues, the Third World and nature. He is the co-author of Changing Consciousness with David Bohm and has written several books on photography. He is based in London.
