Here are some examples of projects UK NGOs are supporting at home and abroad. Following the narrative of What Britain is doing, The great migration and This land is your land, they include power generation in Nepal and Peru by Practical Action, DFID- and IRRI-backed "scuba rice" crops in Bangledesh, "push-pull" planting in Kenya developed by ICIPE in partnership with Rothamsted Research, Thames renewal by the UK Environment Agency, Christian Aid education and housing projects in Brazil and the Philippines, WaterAid waste management and water treatment in India and Nepal, innovative responses to water shortages in Kenya, and community farming projects in Peru and Bangladesh, all from Practical Action.
